DO YOU WANT TO BE A GENTLEMAN?

Suit Fullstop
Some individuals believe that being a gentleman is an out-dated thought.
In today’s society, being a modern gentleman means taking these many views and finding a middle ground. No man today is going to take off his tweed jacket and lay it over a pool in the street for a woman to walk on, but that doesn’t mean men, including you, can’t take steps to rise above the average expectations and be outstanding.
How to Be a Gentleman
  • The First Impression- A first impression not only has to do with your look, but also how you present yourself. Making eye contact while shaking hands, introducing yourself in a courteous and clear way, and performing your age is important as well.
  • Hygiene- There’s no reason why you should ever walk out of the house without considering your basic hygiene. While you might have made the best first impression, shower daily, use a hair brush, clean your men’s tweed jacket or suits, keep your nails neat etc.
  • Be Honest- In any type of relationship, it is always important to be truthful and honest with the other individual.
  • Let Others Be the Centre of Attention- In any type of social event, there will be people of different levels present. Engage with everyone and make them feel that they are the centre of attraction throughout the conversation.
  • Approach towards a woman- When out on the town with a lady, there are certain traditional gestures of a gentleman that still holds true, such as opening the door for her, offering to help her with her coat etc.

Do you now feel you are a gentleman? If your manners require an update, or you simply confused on how to be a gentleman, consider these tips. Wearing the right mens suit or jacket, making a great first impression, and understanding the context of each situation can go a long way in ensuring you to be an exceptional gentleman.
